| We raise delicious, healthful, beautiful vegetables on our 12 acre farm in Belmont, WI, 35 minutes northeast of Dubuque. We select vegetable varieties for their flavor, grow them under the best conditions, pick them at the peak of ripeness, and carefully handle them. The deep, fertile silt loam soil on our farm contributes to the excellent taste of our vegetables, and we strive to maintain our soil fertility by cover cropping, mulching, and composting. For your health and the health of the environment, we use no chemical pesticides or fertilizers.
From June through October we offer farm memberships to people who wish to eat our vegetables. Members receive weekly or biweekly boxes containing a mix of the vegetables which are currently ripe on our farm; over the season the boxes include lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, broccoli, onions, green beans, spinach, peppers, peas, potatoes, squash, garlic, and over fifteen other vegetables. Each box also contains a newsletter describing the vegetables and providing cooking tips and recipes. We carefully research and evaluate all of the recipes we distribute, and members report that the recipes greatly help them to eat and enjoy the vegetables. We welcome new farm members in the greater Dubuque area, southwestern Wisconsin, and the Madison area. |
